Soldering terminology

Wetting is an essential phase of the soldering process. It is fundamentally dependent on the nature of the solder and the base metal, but also on external factors such as contamination (grease on the surface to be soldered), an adequate soldering temperature ( depending on the size of the soldered parts), or the quantity of flux .
