Wettability
Metal is solderable only if the solder can be spread to the base material. This property is referred to as wettability and is quantitatively correlated with the wetting angle θ (angle formed by the tangent of the solder and the base material). If θ = 0, wettability is 100%. A wetting balance method is used for the measurement of wettability. |
