Plated-through hole
Frequently abbreviated as PTH, it denotes a borehole in an insulating base material. The inner wall of the hole is coated with copper or a double layer of copper and solder to form a conductive connection between the outer and inner circuits. Ideally, the electroplated coating is 25-35 µm thick. Simultaneously, the PTH fulfills the purpose of the holder for the push-through installation. |
