Soldering terminology

This term denotes the soldering of two metal plates at their edges. Such a connection cannot have high tensile or bending strength. Butt welding is a resistance welding method where a current is passed through the parts to be welded, melting and joining the welding spot by the resistance heat. Spot welding and seam welding are based on the same principle.
